REFLECTIONS: One Year Ago

One Year Ago:
     - I made a decision to take this experiment seriously.
     - I wanted to prove myself, I can maintain a savings account. And i did. If I made it, everyone could.
     - I wanted to earn my 1st million using this piggy bank. That's for 30 year. So far, 1 year is down. And we're on track.
     - I started this blog to take record of everything on this savings program. That makes you my partner on this journey.

After our 1 year being together, we're able to hurdle many challenges which make this journey more fun. At some point, I started questioning if everything that we were doing is worth the efforts. Sometimes I was embarrassed bringing the coin bag to the bank because I know I would again bother the teller counting my pennies. But we made it, and we will continue doing it for this year.

Positive points to ponder:
      - Humanap ng malapit na bank at mababait na tellers who understand your purpose.
      - Make it a habit to deposit your savings monthly.
      - Enjoy counting your saving every month's end. Reflect on the sacrifices you made in saving those coins.
      - Make records in everything you do. Just like maintaining this blog takes a little pressure to do right.
      - Pray. Thank God for every provision. our work. good health and supportive family and friends

Let's take this journey to another level this year. Since we now have 16k in our pocket, let us start planning new ventures to build more wealth using this initial capital.

STATUS UPDATE: YEAR-ENDER

Happy New Year everyone!

It took me a while to make this year-end report since I was so busy lately. I had a long Christmas vacation, so I have to rush up things to cope with my backlogs at work. Finally, today I was able to deposit my December savings, thus, this report.

As of December 2013, we now have Php16,412.30 in bank. The 10k is deposited in a separate special savings account, while the rest is in this passbook above. Against our savings goal, on our first year of saving, we are expected to save Php15,039. As we can see, we have saved above our set goal. Replicating the same momentum every year, although it's still early to say, we can save our 1st million earlier than 30 years. Let's see how we perform this year.

But we just keep on praying for His continued provision and blessings. We know that without His guidance, everything is useless.
